"Calamities have appeared everywhere on land and sea, because of the actions of humanity. So that God makes them taste some of what they did, in order they may correct themselves."

Quran:The Chapter of the Europeans:41

Think about it, human beings have lived on this planet for atleast 200,000 years and the moment humanity turned materialistic post Industrial Revolution, the planet lost its harmonious balance. Why? Is it talking to us in a languge  that we can experience rather than hear.

The modern Age down to its most intricate details finds its mention in the Quran. Climate Change is a phenomenon as modern as modernity can be. There is no precedent to this global scale catastrophe in all of history. But a text 1400 old mentions Climate Change and its actual cause with great clarity. This goes to proves not just how awesome this book is, but also that the global community will never be able to solve the Climate Change problem, unless and until a spade is called a spade with regards to the root causes of the crisis. Blaming the industrial growth alone is inadequate and incorrect. Why? because the industrial growth especially in the 1900's has been perpetuated and sustained by the Banking Sector. This economy is called a bubble economy because it rests on huge piles of debt and liabilities. Wherever there is debt, there is interest and hence except for a select few, the entire human population has to carry the burden of $7 Trillion global debt and a looming consequential ecological crisis that may just wipe out humanity before they can figure out how to pay the debt.

The baffling part of this verse from the Quran is that it deconstructs the global Ecological Crisis down to its true roots. The verse before this one denounces the practice of "lending and borrowing money on interest", in other words, modern banking 101. Then there is the mention of the global scale crisis-both land and sea- this being a completely modern phenomena where something remote as oceans are also recieving their share of radioactive contaminants. Both these verses are in the chapter called "Surah Room", loosely translated as the chapter of the Europeans. Room being the ancient Roman Empire that was situated in Europe. So there you go the crisis, its root cause and the place of origin, beutifully expounded in a book that is 1400 years old. Also notice the phrase "So that God makes them taste some of what they did", So Global warming in reality is an in-buit mechanism, a moral compass of the environment to declare to the world that the modern way of abuse and exploitation of the earth's resources without any regard for consequences is not going to go without serious repercussions. Is the world listening?
"And humanity will appear intoxicated on that Day, but it shall not be intoxicated, it is the chastisement from God which is severe."

(Quran-22:1)
