Has secular and sacred knowledge harmoniously coexisted ever in history?
When we read the works of the early Muslim scientists, philosophers, doctors etc, we find a strong motivation driving their research. Most of the science that was developed in that time was in the service of Islam and the scientists knew that the universe was the biggest sign of the God, and it's study then would be the best path to God's nearness !

In the first few episodes of the Second Golden Age we talked about how Islam emphasized acquiring knowledge, which eventually led to the advances in Islamic Science.
Safiyyah Sabreen studied Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing her Master's in Philosophy. She is the Content Director for KNOW. Being interested in the field of Islam and Science and Islamic Eschatology, she produced a documentary on the Golden Age of Islam and directs the Second Golden Age series.
